This package is for teachers delivering the 2022 spec for BTEC Tech Award in Health and Social Care Component 3, Health and Wellbeing. Questions related to these topics are 1 and 2 marks on the exam paper so focus on raising literacy levels throughout your lessons. For teachers following my C3 SoW, this is for week 7. This is suggested practical teaching week. There is one presentations of 70 slides and a worksheet for notes covering different health indicators. There are inbedded videos pause points, exam multiple choice questions and class discussion point . . There is guidance for note taking and applied case study tasks. All resources are adaptable to meet you needs. There are two homework task sheets based on exam answers for Level 1 and Level 2. This package is for teachers delivering the new 2022 spec for BTEC Tech Award in Health and Social Care Component 2. For teachers following my SoW, this is for week 25 after the completion of Component 1. It has two presentations, one is 17 slides and is an introduction into the differences between health and social care services. Social care is included as the PSA case study will face barriers which need overcoming with support which may be social care based. This will be built on the following week where primary, secondary and tertiary services are explained. The second is 27 slides and gives opportunities for paired/group or whole class discussions so students can make their notes on activity work sheets in their own words. These will be a source of reference in the PSA. Students will be expected to know the eleven different health conditions listed below and have an understanding of PIES needs for each as a stepping stone for looking at the provision for meeting their health needs with services. Included is homework for both Levels 1 and 2. There is one presentations of 70 slides with embedded videos, pause discussion points and a exam practice for question 16. There is a focus on answering 6 mark questions using and applied practice for this and model answers provided. All resources are adaptable to meet you needs. There is one homework A3 task sheets which is suitable for both Level 1 and Level 2.
